Pricing and Timing
Two things hold on every job, no matter the size.
What does a plumbing job cost?
You approve a written quote before any work starts, and that figure is what you pay. We won't guess over the phone, because the price depends on the actual job.
Do you charge a call out fee?
No. Getting us to your Kurri Kurri door costs nothing, whether the job ends up being a five-minute washer or a full afternoon. You pay for work you approve, never for the drive.
How fast can you get here?
Same-day where the schedule allows, and genuine emergencies jump the queue. Water going where it shouldn't outranks a slow drip, so a burst pipe gets priority over a booking made for next week.
What counts as an emergency?
A burst pipe, an overflowing toilet or no hot water on a cold morning. If water or waste is moving somewhere it shouldn't, ring straight away and we'll talk you through shutting off.
The Work We Do
Everything a household needs, and most of what the town's businesses need too.
What plumbing work do you do?
Blocked drains, hot water, gas fitting, renovations, leak detection and urgent repairs, for homes and most small businesses. Each service has its own page, linked from the home page.
Can you fix low water pressure?
Very often, yes. Plenty of the older cottages here still run on galvanised steel pipes, and those corrode until the shower trickles. The fix is usually replacing the corroded run.
Why do drains block so often here?
The original sewers under the cottage grid are clay, and reactive soil has spent a century working the joints apart. Tree roots find every gap, so repeat blockages usually point to something structural.
Do you handle gas fitting?
Yes, licensed gas work for appliances, bayonet points and heaters. Legacy installations in the older homes often surface outdated fittings when an appliance gets swapped, and we bring those up to standard.

We work the town and the coalfields villages around it, and the same standards apply everywhere.
Which nearby suburbs do you cover?
Weston, Pelaw Main, Stanford Merthyr, Heddon Greta and Loxford all sit on our regular run around the town, and each has its own page with local detail for the houses there.
Who owns the sewer line?
Hunter Water looks after the main, but the pipes on your block, including the sewer branch to it, are generally your responsibility. Unsure where your line sits? We can trace it.
Can you work on fibro and weatherboard houses?
Yes, and they're most of the town. Weatherboard, fibro and brick-veneer homes from three eras each need their own approach, and we work on all of them, from pre-war cottages to later additions.
Do you do commercial work?
Yes, for shops and small businesses, including the grease management that commercial kitchens need. A cafe or pub drain gets treated differently to a house drain, and we carry the gear for it.
